Although self pride plays a large part in antiaging skin care products and treatments, the growth in popularity is due in no small part to the fact that we are all living and working longer. The way this is done is to encourage the growth of the protein collagen which happens to be the main source of the protein used in the connective tissue of skin; around twenty five percent.
Antioxidants are also parts of this same group all related to reducing the signs of aging. One of these antioxidants is, an antiaging substance, vitamin C and despite continual research into this, no one body involved can decide just exactly how much our bodies should really consume on a daily basis. The problem with vitamin C products is they can become oxidized when opened to the atmosphere before they are used.
To get around there are some antiaging skin care products used to replace vitamin C which are more stable and less expensive. Even though, the skin care products with vitamin E and lipoic acid used to replace vitamin C are not as effective, they can both do the same job anyway. Consequently, this is not too much of a problem.
Vitamin E, an antioxidant, is used to increase the natural defense we have against disease, including many types of cancer. It is a fat soluble vitamin in a person's blood. The other antioxidant, lipoic acid is in every cell of our body and is used to generate energy for us to live but also helps reduce and reverse the skins aging process.
Another group of products used to reduce the visible signs of aging are phytochemicals which are compounds extracted from a various plants and used in many age reducing goods. Phytochemicals stop occurrence of cancer of certain types including: prostate cancer, breast cancer and colon cancer.
For a while now it has also been known that the vitamins B5, B6 and B12 also have antiaging skin care properties. This is a bountiful area that has the potential for many new products and services in time but research needs to continue.
Although current products are effective, there are still many challenges to finding better and more efficient ways to fight the effects of time. In time it is hoped that less expensive and more reliable products will become available.
Unfortunately, at the moment though, science is still behind the field of natural antiaging methods and it might take some time to replace them. So, drinking a plenty of water, getting a good night sleep, exercising regularly, maintaining healthy eating habits and keeping stress at bay are essential means of delaying the aging process.
